Stepping out of my comfort zones/familiar masks of big smiles (which, when used for hiding, become “it’s okay, I’m safe! I play nice with other kids! Look how sweet I am!”) or big faces (again, when used for hiding, “I’m so fun and silly and weird and I’m doing it on purpose so you are laughing with me not at me, right?”) Risking being seen as something else, something I’m not comfortable with you knowing about me, being seen just being, not trying to control the outcome, the perception, the reception.
